The Early Years department at Kirkstone offers high quality education encompassing all areas of learning and development in a friendly and caring environment.
Children from four to seven years of age are taught by experienced staff who provide a broad, balanced and motivating curriculum. Small class sizes allow children to receive individual attention encouraging them to flourish and achieve their full potential.
In addition to the subjects covered by the National Curriculum, the Early Years department also offers all children the opportunity to participate in French, swimming, private ballet and instrumental lessons. Extra-curricular activities include theatre trips, educational summer visits and visits to our own 60 acre environmental centre. We also produce two major shows each year helping to promote self confidence in our pupils.
We place great importance on nurturing politeness, good manners and behaviour in the young people entrusted to us.
