The Lower School had a lovely visit to the Owl Sanctuary at Baytree Garden Centre. We saw a wonderful display of different owls. Everyone learnt a lot about this type of bird! Did you know that only the Tawny Owl says 'Twit Twoo'? We also found out that if an owl has black eyes they hunt at night, orange eyes means they hunt at dusk and dawn and yellow eyes means they hunt during the day. As they say...every day is a school day! We ended our morning with a lovely picnic in the sunshine.
