Curriculum and Assessment
Pupils in Key Stage 4 study core subjects of English language/Literature; Mathematics and Science and up to 4 additional Option subjects.
There is a great deal of flexibility and pupils may choose how many Science subjects they study and whether to study both English Language and Literature or to have English lessons focused only on English Language.
Pupils have the option to take Modern Foreign Languages, but there is no compulsion to do so. We firmly believe that pupils should be able to work to their strengths and to choose subjects they like and succeed in and to be involved in decision making about how many subjects they take.
